How Language Profiling Can Make All The Difference In Your Workplace.

Have you ever had a conversation with someone, maybe it’s an employee, and afterward you just knew they didn’t get what you were trying to communicate?

Or maybe you have two employees that just aren’t getting along and there is constant conflict?

And you know that last worker who you just “let go” because they weren’t getting the job done even though you tried your best to teach them what to do…

There’s a high probability that differences in language styles had a lot to contribute to the problem and with just a little bit of research and adjustments, it could all turn around for the better.

We’ve recently been helping our clients with Language And Behavior profiling. It’s a simple process of asking strategic questions and then observing the language and behavior that is used when answering.

We identify within specific contexts and situations (work environment, learning, co-working, etc.) how a person is motivated and become productive.

How does this help?

We recently used this system to help a client hire the right people for two different positions. For each position, we identified what specific motivations and working styles would be the best fit.

For one position we needed someone who was Proactive, Specific with details, follow procedures, handled stress with initial emotion (to connect with stressed customers) and then settled to handle and solve the problem, the needed to handle their own responsibilities but within a co-working environment. There were actually 14 different traits we identified.

Once we had the ideal profile, we interviewed the prospects and created their profiles. We then compared the prospect’s profiles to the ideal and were able to use that comparison to make the right hire.

You can see how it helped him :

This same process can be used to help you understand how to best communicate and motivate a particular employee or co-worker. You can know the exact language and way to work with them that is going to be the most effective.

You can also determine which employees need to be put in different positions that will maximize their motivation and productivity. There’s really a lot of ways this system can help you and your business.

If you’d like to learn more about it and how it might be able to help your business, set up a quick info call with us. We’d love to see if we could help.
